The area you perform meditation should have a soothing atmosphere. It might be in your living room, or bedroom, or any place which you feel comfortable in. You might want a workout mat when you plan to take on the more challenging positions (if you feel more focused doing so, and if the contortionist in you is screaming for release). You might wish to have the area ordered so that it is soothing to your senses.

Regrettably, many folks only give up. They believe the noise and distractions within their lives make it impossible for their sake to appreciate the benefits of a daily meditation practice, which include strain-alleviation, mental relaxation, and physical rejuvenation. Ironically, these are just what we all need in these trying, hectic times.
